I went there without booking as I was on my own so I thought they could squeeze me in somewhere. The man who seemed to be the owner was reluctant as the tables were booked but he found a place for me It was around 6pm and he asked me to finish my meal by 7pm. Food was wonderful just a bit spoilt by the owner nervously pacing around . Made me feel on edge a bit. A bit pricey but I enjoyed the food . I’d go again but make sure to book.

Great curry Went to Tamarind Indian restaurant with my husband for Buffet night.it was good. Lovely choice of dips ,&, poppadoms.good chilled wine. The buffet was good good choice of starters & curry & rice. Are waiter Miran was lovely nothing to much trouble for him.The restaurant was lovely &, clean . Great restaurants for couples &, big party's. Will be visiting again .top notch food in a nice Indian restaurant .

Delicious We visited around 8.30pm because they were open and everywhere else was closed and were greeted and seated with a warm welcome. The food was delicious and we will definitely be back for our special beer glass!

An absolute diamond! Don’t miss this place!!! I have, as a Brit, been brought up appreciating the best curry houses in the uk. My father a student doctor in the late 50s, lived with Asians and was taught to understand what ‘fine’ Asian cuisine tasted like. I have to say, my meal at Tamarind was the finest. Do not miss this place. You will not be disappointed.

Really great Restaurant. We visited the Tamarind on the 25 August. The food was excellent. Service was really good. The staff made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend this restaurant to every one. We are going back for a meal shortly.

Lovely Indian in Newport Went to Tamarind Indian restaurant for are wedding anniversary 18 years. Lovely selection of dips & poppadoms. It was Buffet night great selection of Currys & rice. Nice bottle of wine .nice & chilled. The restaurant was nice & clean & tidy .are waiter mirran was lovely well dressed & clean. Lovely Bailey's to end the evening. Thank you to Jimmy the owner & the others for a lovely night
